STUDENT / PARENT CONTRACT
Updated August 2024
Students and Parents: Please read through carefully and completely. Student and Parent must print, sign and turn in this contract each semester. Signed contracts need to be turned in at AUDITIONS.
Although being a member of a cast is fun and exciting, it also requires commitment, time, and responsibility. The time and commitment not only affects the cast member, but also their family. We feel it is important for all parties involved to be aware of what is expected right from the start. Please read the following contract with your child and sign the form if you agree to your cast member’s participation in the production under these conditions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Linda Lindeen, Artistic Director and Owner, at [email protected].
CAST RESPONSIBILITIES
FPMT is a theatre school and therefore, you will not only learn to be a better actor while performing for an audience, but you will also participate in the production process. Listed below are the responsibilities expected of you as a member of the FPMT’s production.
Read through the following important procedures.
We also realize the possible risks involved in having students in active, group classes and have given permission to enroll our student at our own risk.

Read through the following important procedures.
- Trust the directors through the audition and casting process. Accept the role given to you, understanding that every student is vital to the success of the show. A tremendous amount of work goes into auditions and casting, and it is very difficult to redo this entire process if someone drops if they don't get their top choice of a role they auditioned for.
- Treat all staff and fellow actors with respect and kindness.
- Pay attention to all announcements given in rehearsals.
- Attend all required rehearsals.
- Please give advance notice (at least three days) for a missed rehearsal by notifying Mrs. Linda at [email protected]. In the event of an illness or emergency, notify Mrs. Linda by phone (763) 260-4053 or email as soon as possible.
- Commit to NO ABSENCES the last month of rehearsals and also all stage dates.
- Be prepared, ready, and focused for each rehearsal. Arrive 15 minutes (not more than 20 minutes) prior to rehearsal start time to socialize, stretch and get ready to rehearse. Bring your script and pencil to every rehearsal.
- Have lines, songs and blocking memorized on time.
- Dress appropriately at all rehearsals. Refer to “Showtime Class Procedures…” then “What should my student wear….”
- Respect the properties where we rehearse and perform.
- Do not leave the building before the end of rehearsal unless approved by a FPMT staff person first.
- At rehearsal end, exit through the designated door and wait in the assigned area for your ride. For your safety, do not walk into the parking lot unless you are the driver or with a parent. Please pay attention.
- Showtime Students: Drivers--no texting or talking on cell phones while driving in the parking lot.
- Cell phones should be silenced and put away with your belongings during rehearsals.
- Showtime students: Attend at least one tech session to help with set construction, set painting, props, costumes, etc.
- Showtime students: Attend set strike following the last performance unless excused by directors.
- Provide costume/costume pieces if necessary.
We also realize the possible risks involved in having students in active, group classes and have given permission to enroll our student at our own risk.
